A ground-breaking new metric in running, power is a measure of the work you are doing, measured in watts. It factors in gradient too, so you can get a better idea of your effort on any kind of terrain. Track your power on the Watch app as you run, and pace yourself over the race distance. PODIUM has the only accurate non-device running power in the world.
Improving your step rate can make you a faster runner, slower to tire out and ultimately make running more comfortable. In PODIUM, expert coaching helps you find the optimal step rate.
Make your training as effective as possible. Once calibrated with personalized training zones, you can use the power gauge on the Watch to ensure you’re always exercising at the correct effort.
Important metrics like average pace and distance are still there, so you can always swipe to stay on track of your run.
Performance Analysis
Every workout you do is analysed based on 5 components, represented by a difference Performance Peak: Technique, Endurance, Strength, Speed and Execution. After a workout, tap anywhere on the peaks to dive into post-workout analysis. This is also where you will receive detailed coaching commentary.
Without good basics, everything else is irrelevant! An optimal technical score indicates minimal difference between your step rate on the flat and your step rate when you’re climbing.
Your endurance capability is your workout to workout physical ability, i.e. your performance score on the Fitness Trend graph. An increasing score shows fitness improvement.
Your workout strength score is based on the volume of climbing you do in a workout. For example, if you have a lot of hills in your workout, you’ll get a greater strength score for that run.
Your speed score is based on our calibration engine, and tracks your Anaerobic Threshold. As this improves, so will your speed score.
Execution is based on how much your speed varies over the course of the workout. Keeping your speed consistent over the entire run will help you achieve a higher execution score.
Fitness Trend
Know when you’re ready to perform at your best. See if your fitness is trending up, and your day to day readiness to train.
This indicates your workout to workout physical ability. You’ll get a solid triangle every time you run. In general, your triangles should trend upward. If your post-workout triangle is lower than the previous one, it may be an indication that you need some rest!
Use the histogram to get a visual of how many minutes of easy, climbing and speed training you’ve done per week or per day as a stacked column. Changes in the volume or the type of training will impact your Fitness and Readiness scores, as reflected in the Fitness Trend graph above. PODIUM programs are designed to help you achieve the optimal training mix.
Fitness is a longer term measure of the consistency of your physical ability. Watch for the trend –up is good, plateauing or going down, might be an indication of overtraining and poor exercise management.
